Shh, There's a Beast in the Imperial Palace

Shh, There’s a Beast in the Imperial Palace is very light and fluffy but with a pretty awesome OP MC. I enjoyed this, besides the fact that the author ended the story so abruptly!

Overall, this is a delightful childhood friends/lovers/transmigration fic with both MC and ML transmigrating from a post-apocalypse zombie world into an advanced interstellar world. The MC had previously sacrificed himself in a big boss battle to save the ML but opened a dimensional portal through which the ML followed. This story is an established relationship with domestic fluff (which I greatly enjoy) and some past reminiscence on how they got together. There isn't any angst, just some adorable reunions and humor.

ML also takes mainly a rear seat to let the MC lead the show, which is uncommon. MC is a super cool lion shapeshifter and metal ability user, while the ML is a powerful plant/healer who spends much of his time trying to help the MC heal his damaged body. It's about the MC exploring the new world and becoming wealthy and respected while the ML dotes on and supports him with his status as an influential military leader.

I liked the story, but to be honest, the ending was awful because it was too rushed, and there were some plotholes. It was disappointing. Some characters stopped appearing in the final chapters, and you don't know what happened to them or how their life is. The best you can do is read Shh, There’s a Beast in the Imperial Palace without expecting a good plot; just go for the fluff, as I did.
