This humorous, short-running novel is about a righteous, upstanding new teacher teaching ghosts how to be virtuous citizens, not knowing they are ghosts. With or without BL, They All Say I’ve Met a Ghost is fantastic. In short, this is a BL rendition of Assassination Classroom, with equally charming students, the same silly OP instructor, and a fascinating extra (ML) who makes his first impression wanting to hack all these phantoms to extinction!

Though it contains horror elements, this novel is a jab at typical horror novels. The story is hilarious for readers, although no one's laughing in the book—blessed comedic undertone. Therefore, we can’t consider it in the horror genre in any way or form. It does not aim to scare people; its primary purpose is humor + slice of life.

The MC is overpowered and gullible but also moral and a reasonable guy. He's charming and wants the best for his students. Reading about the MC unknowingly steamrolling everyone is too much fun. The ML initially seems like the cold, stoic Daoist master type, but he's a dork. The romance isn't apparent for most of the novel; there are slight hints at most.

The characters are amusing, and the script is clever. I sometimes felt pity for the ghosts. Quite unusual for a ghost novel. I read this in the middle of the night, and even then, the MC didn't let me feel scared. The extras are icing on the cake and round up They All Say I've Met a Ghost nicely.
