Accidental Mark

Consent, regard, and care - such a rarity in connections set in ABO premises, yet here, it is illustrated by the protagonist Pei and returned by the love interest, Cheng.

Accidental Mark is a feel-good novel with minimal to no considerable villain, twist, or heart wrench. Reasonable amounts of career (acting and investing) oriented material mixed with heavily sweet romance. The transmigration element is well used, mainly with the extra chapter at the end to tie it all.

The premise is well established, and the writer has sufficient material to support the ABO pheromone-based ambiance with wholesome relationship ideals. I liked and disliked how the author sidelined the original storyline characters. It would have added more conflict, but I'm grateful it didn't take the clichéd route. The romance brain transformation of our protagonist from a minimal talker to a remarkably cheese, smooth sweet talker was abrupt, but love changes people (Especially in romance novels!)

This story boosted my ideals, both fictional and real life. They both care, rely, and love each other. The MC's very mature and reliable; the ML is just a ray of sunshine. The plot is quite dubious if you think about it; the OG host unexpectedly changed into MC, and no one even doubted it; they just assumed he matured. The rest of the portrayal makes up for it.

This book would be a good choice for those who like cute slow-burn novels. At least the MC respects the ML, and no forced stuff happens. As far as ABO novels are concerned, this is good - no forcing, no overbearing characters, and no toxic stuff. Ultimately, you could go for Accidental Mark if you want a mild and sweet abo story.
